Lunar Eclipse 2011 – Hawaiii With Best View

Lunar Eclipse 2011 – Viewers in the western half of the United States will have the best views – the farther west the better. That makes Hawaii with a ringside seat to view a total lunar eclipse in the early morning hours (tomorrow) Saturday, December 10, 2011. Bishop Museum officials advise that the Hawaiian Islands viewing starts around 2:45 a.m. and will last for several hours until 6:20 a.m.   As the earth passes between the moon and the sun, the color of the moon will appear to be a reddish or copper color.  The total eclipse will occur between 4:10 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time.

Napili Point Resort should be an incredible place to view the eclipse.  There’s no better seat in the house than on the grass, by the bay, to watch this event!
