Oh, Napili… you make a perfect 500th review because I love you and can’t wait to go back! Napili is right near the fancier Kapalua but you can rent a fairly large condo for a pretty reasonable price. Then, you can still enjoy the golf courses with views at Kapalua. When I was younger, my family would enjoy Maui vacations in three-bedroom, two-story, Napili Point condos.

The pool is very nice and there are tons of geckos and frogs on the premises. It’s a short trek to the beach from most of the condos but nothing bad.

The condos have great kitchens, nice decor, and a great lay-out. It’s been too long and I’m ready to go back!

Summary:

–two ok sized, but basic pools
–10 minute walk to white sand beach
–5 minute drive to market

There are three classes of rooms:
–oceanview, somewhat back from the cove, but with good ocean views
–oceanfront, closer to the cove access with somewhat better views
–oceanfront deluxe, views of ocean more than cove.

My preference of these is oceanfront.

I’ve been coming here for years and really like it a lot.

Stunning views here in the northwest corner of Maui.  We spent a week here in February and were able to watch the whales frolicking all day.  If you want condo-style space and good views for a reasonable price, this is a pretty solid option.

My husband and I just returned from 9 wonderful nights at the Napili Point Resort. We stayed in a one bedroom unit (B39) and absolutely loved it! After reading reviews of the resort on trip advisor, I thought it sounded exactly like the kind of setting we would love, quiet, private, and away from all of the hustle and bustle. We weren’t disappointed!!

Our unit was gorgeous, with a beautifully renovated kitchen (nice cupboards, granite counters, dishwasher), and was fully equipped with everything we needed. In fact, we cooked all but one of our meals in. There was a nice large flat screen tv in the living room, and one in the bedroom, too. The bathroom was large, had a really nice vanity (two sinks, a luxury for us!) and granite counters, as well as a nice ceramic tile walk in shower. The entire unit was very tastefully decorated, including gorgeous water color paintings by the owner.

We loved sitting out on our private & roomy lanai watching the whales spouting, and also loved snorkeling in the bay with the sea turtles. That was a real highlight of our trip! It was really tricky getting into the water from the slippery rocks, and even harder getting out of the water! I had a scary moment trying to get out, and kept getting knocked against the rocks by the waves (I’ve got a mean looking bruise to prove it!). The only negative to the unit we were staying in is that the bedroom is right on a fairly busy road, and the traffic would wake us up before 5:30 each morning (including loud delivery trucks). we tried shutting the bedroom window and having the a/c on, which helped block out some, but not all of the noise. There are three buildings comprising Napili Point Resort, and ours was the only one right on the road. So, if you are not a really sound sleeper, this may be an issue.
If you want to get away from all of the business and crowds of Lahaina and Kanapali, Napili Point is the perfect place for you!

What is a condo resort?

A condo resort is a condominium complex that is designed to have a resort like feel, with amenities,  facilities, swimming pools, landscaping and walkways much like you would see at a hotel resort (like Kapalua or Kaanapali Maui” in west Maui). Next, the condo resort will have a management office with on-site property managers, landscapers and house keeping.

The units are usually owned by individual owners, then managed for rentals when the owners are not present. They are well maintained, furnished and fully stocked with clean towels sheets, houseware and kitchen.

Some of the benefits of a condo resort:
