The humpback whales are super active now and often they are seen off Maui waters “tail slapping” over and over again – it’s very fun to watch!

Morning Snorkelers And A Beautiful January Sunset At Napili Point Resort!

Today was an absolutely beautiful day on Maui. Morning snorkelers enjoyed their time with the honu (turtles) in Honokeana Bay with an amazing backdrop of the islands of Lanai and Molokai.

This evening’s sunset was a perfect way to end a perfect day!

Lahaina Cannery Mall International Ice Sculping Event!

Hawaii’s only annual ice sculpting weekend returns to Lahaina Cannery Mall tomorrow and Sunday!

Artists from Japan and across Hawaii crank up their chainsaws for demo, competition

Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii – Mauiʼs popular International Ice Sculpting Exhibition and Competition returns to Lahaina Cannery Mall on November 10-11, 2012. The two-day event features artists from Japan and across Hawaii firing up their chainsaws and turning ice into art.

The ice chips fly from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 as visiting artists from Japan demonstrate their skills in a freestyle ice-carving exhibition. Pride and prize money are on the line Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., as artists sculpt huge blocks of ice in a 90-minute, head-to-head competition.

The art will be on display throughout the weekend and the event is free!

International Ice Sculpting Event

Saturday, November 10: Exhibition (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Sunday, November 11: Competition (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
